Lifeway Mobility completes ‘unique’ installation

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Lifeway Mobility’s Baltimore team recently completed a stair lift installation that helped six families living in a condominium building here remain independent.

Merits builds home access division

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - The stair lift market, one dominated by a few long-time players, now has a new player: Merits Health Products.
Merits Health has launched a home access division called Pilot and its first product offering is a straight stair lift. It has been manufacturing a similar product for other companies for 19 years.

New Jersey: Lift providers stave off elevator law

TRENTON, N.J. - HME providers in New Jersey have negotiated an amendment to a bill that should keep them from needing elevator contractor licenses to provide chair lifts and stair lifts.
Earlier this year, providers learned that a proposed bill that would require licensure by a state board to install elevators, escalators and moving sidewalks would also apply to them.
