RENO, Nev. - Essentially Women wants to make sure you don't just roll the dice with your future and has planned its educational conference with that in mind.
The buying group is holding its 14th annual Focus on the Future Conference and Tradeshow in Reno, Nev. This year's event takes place March 16-18.
The educational sessions cover a wide gamut of concerns for women's health providers, from workplace violence to breast care trends.
This year's conference pays particular attention to the needs of small businesses and women business owners—which describes the majority of women's health boutiques.
The most valuable assets a company has are its employees and it's critical to know how to manage them. “Human Resource Pitfalls for Small Business” highlights the top 10 mistakes business owners and managers make and will help them get on (or stay on) the right track.
Other business sessions include “Everything You Wanted to Know About Billing Medicare for External Breast Prosthesis,” and “Retirement Planning Strategies for the Woman Entrepreneur.” As the description for that last session notes, retirement is closer than you think.
As always, Focus on the Future features a dose of inspiration for attendees. Former Miss Hawaii Donna Hartley presents “Fire up Your Life.” In this session, the speaker/author draws on life-threatening personal experiences to help attendees master change and build leadership strengths. HME
