Motion appoints new CEO

TORONTO – Motion has named Sue Gilpin CEO. She replaces Thecla Sweeney, who is stepping down after holding the roles of CEO and executive chair for four years. Gilpin has served as senior director, people and operations West at Motion since 2018. “This appointment is a strong vote of confidence for me and Motion’s leadership team,” said Gilpin. “Collectively we have the right skill set, knowledge, and experience internally to make this a smooth transition and carry on the business plan that we have built together with Thecla over the last four years.” Gilpin has more than 20 years of experience in HR at Motion and before that Golf Town and Staples Canada. Motion says it is Canada’s leading provider of mobility and home accessibility solutions with 54 locations.
