ALBANY, N.Y. – DME providers in New York who are providing direct, in-person patient care are eligible to receive the COVID-10 vaccine, according to an announcement this week from Gov. Andrew Cuomo, according to a bulletin from NEMEP. “While we're trying to control COVID with one hand, we're trying to defeat it with the other, and the vaccine is the weapon that will win this war," said Cuomo. Industry stakeholders have urged government officials to include DME providers in phase 1 distribution of the vaccine.
