Former AAHomecare director joins GMEA

PHOENIX - Dan Smith, formerly the director of membership sales and marketing at AAHomecare, has joined Global Medical Equipment of America, according to a press release. Harold Halman, CEO of GMEA, believes that Smith, who is among a host of recent departures from AAHomecare, can use his experience to help advance the company's mission. “His industry experience, network and overall knowledge will immediately elevate us to another level as we continue to expand our operations,” Halman stated. “Dan brings insight on how to integrate our existing operations within the HME market to a more vertical growth track with new products, opportunities and strategic relationships.” This approach was on display in May, when GMEA cinched a distribution deal with IZI Body Cooling, a Netherlands-based manufacturer of body cooling technologies and apparel.
