ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – Dynarex has significantly expanded its line of DME products, solidifying the company’s position as a one-stop shop for distributors, says Igal Hodorov.
The company announced in March that it now also offers long-term care and home care beds, mattresses, lifts and slings, wheelchairs and more.
“Our core philosophy is one-stop shopping,” said Hodorov, vice president of sourcing and new product development, who joined the company about five years ago. “We want facilities to be able to order everything from one supplier – it helps their accounts receivable, reduces overheard, streamlines the sales process. It makes things so much easier.”
Dynarex serves customers in all 50 states, as well as Canada, the Caribbean Islands, Central and South America and the Middle East, from six warehouse locations located throughout the U.S., including Arizona, Ohio, New York and Florida.
The company, which has been in business since 1967, has its roots in the disposable supplies market. It first added DME in 2018 and also added respiratory products in 2021, not to mention entered other niche markets like dentistry and tattooing.
“We generally launch between 100 and 300 products a year, with the exception of 2021 due to COVID and logistical issues,” Hodorov said.
Dynarex has faced the same supply chain challenges as other manufacturers during the pandemic, but Hodorov says those challenges have also increased awareness of the company and what it has to offer.
“We’re getting some market penetration,” he said. “Another manufacturer might be out of product and customers will look elsewhere to buy. Once they work with us, they like our products and stick with us.”
Customers like their products and they also like “value adds,” such as a selling only to distributors (and not to their customers), prioritizing existing customers during shortages, and offering marketing and educational support like Dynarex University.
“Dynarex’s guiding principle of ‘We Care Like Family’ exemplifies the outstanding customer service that sets the company apart in the marketplace,” said Donna Branca, digital marketing manager.
While Hodorov says Dynarex now offers “a broad range of products,” it’s constantly looking to expand.
“We have a few large expansion market segments that we’re looking to get into,” he said.
