ARLINGTON, Va. - NRRTS and NCART will mix things up next spring, combining the five-year tradition of CELA with the Medicaid Summit and a new leadership day.
Combining events should make it easier for stakeholders to find resources to attend, organizers say.
“We're cognizant of the demands on people's time and dollars,” said Don Clayback, executive director of NCART.
The first-ever National CRT Leadership and Advocacy Conference will be April 9-April 11, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Va.
The leadership day brings something totally new to the table, says Simon Margolis, executive director of NRRTS. Among the activities: presentations, breakout sessions and a panel discussion by top industry CEOs.
“There isn't another thing out there that offers this focus on complex rehab from a business standpoint,” said Margolis. “We're taking a visionary look at what's going on in the industry and then bringing it back to the practical level.”
Clayback says a larger event will further create a separate identity for complex rehab.
“We're working on a separate recognition for complex rehab, and as we're increasing the profile, we thought it made sense to provide a central gathering point for stakeholders,” he said.
