Convaid donates wheelchairs, parts

TORRANCE, Calif. - Wheelchair manufacturer Convaid recently donated four pallets of wheelchairs and parts to UCP Wheels for Humanity, the company announced Oct. 29. The wheelchairs will be donated to people with physical disabilities in developing countries. “(Convaid's) contributions over the years have allowed us to provide mobility to thousands of children in need around the world, making opportunities like school participation and community engagement available to them for the first time” stated Michael Allen, executive director of UCP Wheels for Humanity, in a press release. UCP Wheels provides fitted wheelchairs to more than 6,000 people per year.
