TORRANCE, Calif. - As part of its community outreach program, Convaid is teaming up with Nehemiah Vision Ministries (NVM), a nonprofit charitable organization, to help provide special needs children in Haiti with custom wheelchairs, according to a press release. The company has donated two Tilt-in-Space Rodeo wheelchairs to the cause. Dr. Kerstin Sobus, who leads NVM's medical mission trips, said the wheelchairs will aid special needs children with very specific forms of mobility impairment. “Plus, the wheelchairs are relatively compact, which is great for these families in Haiti who live in small one or two room huts where space is very tight,” Sobus said.
