ATLANTA - Brightree has acquired CareAnyware, a Raleigh, N.C.-based home health and hospice software provider, according to a press release. As a result of the acquisition, Brightree will have a bigger presence in the post-acute care market at large, with 500 employees serving nearly 3,000 companies. David Cormack, president and CEO of Brightree, said the company plans to leverage CareAnyware's clinical expertise to develop new point-of-care and outcomes-tracking capabilities for HME providers. Brightree received $4 billion in private investment in 2008 that has allowed it to grow organically and through complimentary acquisitions. It acquired C&S Billing in 2008, CAU in 2010 and Pacware in 2011.
