Growth market
Demand will 'boom': The baby boomer generation is currently “sandwiched” in having to accommodate aging parents while also minding their own health needs, so people between the ages of 55 and 65 are likely to be consumers of bath safety products for their parents as well as themselves.
Beyond ordinary
Better mousetrap: Manufacturers are going beyond the conventional grab bars, commodes and bath benches to include products that help caregivers, such as bathing lifts, commode liners and shampoo gloves. Consumers are also selecting products with better materials and a diverse palette of colors.
Building expertise
Beating the big boxes: Creating a reputation as a bath safety specialist means carrying a wide array of brands, studying product specifics and handling installation for customers. Folding in the installation allows providers to charge for a package of products and services.
