Analysts forecast growth

NEW YORK - Persistence Market Research, a U.S.-based market intelligence firm, released a new global forecast for the HME industry through 2020. According to the report, analysts expect Asia to experience high growth rates over the next five years due to growing demographics and economies in developing countries, such as India and China. The report attributes an increasingly older population and a rise in disposable income as some of the driving forces for the expansion. The forecast also warns that issues with safety and effectiveness could potentially hinder growth in the global HME market.
