Amedysis exec joins The Braff Group

PITTSBURGH – Kris Novak has joined The Braff Group as a managing director of home health, home care and hospice, where he will be responsible for the western United States, joining Mark Kulik, senior managing director of home health, home are and hospice, Eastern United States. Novak has 14 years of M&A experience in the home health industry, most recently at Amedisys, where he most recently served as senior vice president of mergers, acquisitions and integration. While at Amedisys, Novak led the organization’s merger, acquisition, health system joint venture, de novo and integration activities. He successfully completed more than 50 transactions, allocating $1.5 billion of capital and adding 325 locations, which contributed $1.2 billion in revenues. This included the acquisition of Contessa, the leading technology-enabled hospital-at-home provider. Novak also led Amedisys' two largest divestitures, which included home health, hospice and personal care locations nationwide.
