WASHINGTON - AAHomecare has a letter to Walmart, reminding the retail giant that both Federal and North Dakota laws prohibit the sale of CPAP devices without a prescription, after Sanford Healthcare was approached by someone who needed help with a device purchased from Walmart.com. North Dakota also requires CPAP devices to be set up by a clinically trained professional. The North Dakota Board of Pharmacy has opened an investigation into the matter, according to AAHomecare. The association will follow up when it receives a response from Walmart, it says.
