In Pennsylvania, AAHomecare is working with PAMS and other stakeholders to address concerns about Tomorrow Health. Tomorrow Health is performing double duty as a provider and a third-party administrator for Geisinger Health, raising concerns that the arrangement could impact patient choice and continuity of care for individuals covered under Geisinger’s Medicaid contract, as well as Medicare Advantage and commercial plans in the state. Providers in the state have seen a significant downturn in referrals since Tomorrow Health implemented the referral program at the beginning of the year, according to the association. Stakeholders are asking for more transparency on how the referral program works, including what are the customer satisfaction results and how are providers ranked and selected for referrals…AAHomecare has asked the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to implement processes to ensure that medically fragile children covered under the state’s Star Kids program can continue to be served by their current DMEPOS provider, if a change in providers is determined to put patients at unnecessary risk...AAHomecare is working with stakeholders in South Carolina to roll back reimbursement cuts by Centene of, on average, 65% of the Medicaid fee schedule and 75% of Medicare rates. The association says the cuts are happening in other states, too, like Arkansas.
