STRONGSVILLE, Ohio, and NORWELL, Mass. - Roscoe Medical and Carex Health Brands will create a combined company to diversify their product lines and increase their market distribution footprint.
Roscoe and Carex also believe a combined company will allow them to accelerate and streamline product development, and better position them to pursue growth opportunities.
“We are very excited by the opportunities this merger creates, bringing Carex into many new product categories we haven't been in before,” stated Matt McElduff, president of Carex, in a release. “In addition, there is very little channel or product overlap between Roscoe and Carex.”
Roscoe and Carex have a combined 60 years of experience in the home healthcare market. Together, they employ more than 200 and manage a large distribution network across the United States.
Carex will further bolster Roscoe's retail offerings. Roscoe recently acquired Revolution Mobility and its retail-oriented line of bath safety, mobility and personal care products and aids to daily living called Viverity.
“This transaction presents an opportunity to offer even greater combined value to our customers by offering Carex Health Brand products to the DME dealer channel where many dealers are looking to increase their retail business,” stated Paul Guth, president and CEO of Roscoe, in the release.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
