STRONGSVILLE, Ohio - Roscoe Medical has no plans to abandon its roots as a distributor of home medical equipment, but it will continue to add to its own line of products.
"We can be more competitive this way," said President Jesse Keirn. "A couple of years ago, we were just distributing other people's products. Now we can fight with the big dogs, so to speak."
At this year's Medtrade, Roscoe will unveil its own line of bath safety products (bath benches, transfer benches, bath safety rails, raised toilet seats, commodes and accessories); oxygen supplies (nasal cannulas, crush-resistant oxygen tubing, oxygen swivel connectors, nebulizer kits, water traps, humidifier bottles and other accessories); and a finger pulse oximeter. The company also offers a line of manual mobility products and DME.
In most instances, Roscoe has no plans to jettison most existing lines of distributed products, but it will have most new lines manufactured in Asia and sold as part of the Roscoe brand, Keirn said.
Also at Medtrade, Roscoe will unveil a more contemporary version of its logo ("We Keep Life Simple"), which extols the benefits of one-stop shopping.
"We've been doing that for years," Keirn said. "It simplifies our customers' lives by saving them time and money with fewer purchasing calls, less delivery charges and the convenience of paying one invoice."
