CASSELBERRY, Fla. - Members of the Medical Equipment Suppliers Association have a new resource at their fingertips.
In September, MESA added a message board to its Web site, allowing providers to seek advice on various issues.
Executive Director Liz Moran said she just took an existing serivce to the next level.
"A member would send me a question, and I would send that out on my e-blasts and get answers back," said Moran. "Then I would send out the responses and would get other e-mails asking what those answers were. I felt like a juggler."
Moran worked with VGM Forbin to set up the service at a cost of about $300. There is no additional maintenance or expense, she said.
The message board is available to MESA members in good standing who register to access the board and then set up an access code in order to read or reply to posts. Questions are posted through Moran to keep the boards free of advertising. Nearly one third of the association's 300 members have signed up.
"I've had a lot of good feedback," said Moran. "It's working real well."
