MUNDELEIN, Ill. - Medline plans to expand production at its new manufacturing facility for incontinence products due to increased demand, the company announced today.
“As the population ages, there is more and more demand for innovative products like our new FitRight brief, which help people manage their incontinence with dignity," stated Dan Love, president of Medline's personal care products division, in a press release.
The 600,000-square-foot facility, which opened in Lithia Springs, Ga., earlier this year, has already increased capacity by 50%, according to the release. Medline has added 120 employees and plans to hire more.
It's been a year of growth for Medline. In July, the manufacturer acquired the personal hygiene business of Perrigo Company; and in August it partnered with Teleflex to distribute its Rusch line of specialty urological products.
Medline manufactures and distributes more than 125,000 products to hospitals, extended care facilities, surgery centers, physician offices and homecare providers.
