WHEATFIELD, N.Y. - When veterans from Western New York travel to Washington, D.C., this week, some will need to use wheelchairs to explore the national World War II memorial. Health System Services has donated wheelchairs to those taking part in the WNY Heroes Flight. “Our goal on this trip is to make sure our heroes have a memorable and rewarding experience,” stated state Sen. George Maziarz, trip sponsor, in a press release. “They deserve to see their memorial and this generous loan of wheelchairs from HSS removes the worry some veterans may have had about traveling.”
