OLD FORGE, Pa. - Golden Technologies used REHACARE2019, an international trade fair for rehabilitation and care on Sept. 18-21 in Dusseldorf, Germany, as a stepping stone for ramping up its global presence.
The company, which was one of 751 exhibitors at the show, is already working with distributors throughout Europe, South America and Canada, but seeks to expand its footprint overseas, says Richard Golden, its CEO.
“Our primary goal was to seek distributors in our target markets and further develop our relationships with existing ones,” he said of the show, which drew 38,600 visitors. “We also planned for a mix of brand introduction to both end users and distributors. In doing so and in demonstrating our technologies, we took orders for our established European markets and attracted a number of potential distributors.”
Shachar Hillel, who was recently named vice president of international business development and who is charged with helping to build the Golden Technologies brand and develop new partnerships outside of the U.S., led the company's involvement at the show.
To date, Golden Technologies has been selling mostly power lift chairs overseas, but the company seeks to sell its two other main product lines there, as well.
“Our design and manufacturing specialties include power lift chairs, scooters and power wheelchairs, so we want to continue to be an innovator in these product categories and expand their presence internationally,” Golden said.
At the show, Golden Technologies highlighted its partnership approach to its dealer network, Golden says.
“Our distributor is much more than a customer, they are a full partner in product design, and we give full support and training form our engineering and development teams,” he said.
