Given its central location, mild spring weather, convention facility and role as a major transportation hub for air traffic, Dallas checks all the boxes for Medtrade’s new single-show location March 28-30, show director York Schwab says.
“With one show per year, attendees can set their sights on a single rallying point to launch providers into success for the remainder of the year—thanks to the March scheduling,” Schwab said. “Atlanta served the show well, but it was time for a change. Dallas is the perfect venue for that change.”
Show dynamics
As for the show itself, Schwab says the new annual event at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center will increase the sense of urgency from exhibitors to bring their newest and best products and services to show.
“I always say that attendees need to be prepared to experience something that will make a real life, material impact on their business; whether that’s a new product to offer, a new service to improve their processes, a new connection, an educational session or association membership,” he said.
The promise of a successful show is being reflected in exhibitor and attendee registration so far, Schwab said.
“The demand for booth space is something I have not experienced in my time with the show,” he said. “Medtrade 2023 is already larger than Medtrade East was, and it’s still early.”
Session highlights
Education has always been a Medtrade hallmark and this year’s session lineup features a wide scope of topics. The most noteworthy subjects “all depend on the type of knowledge you are seeking,” Schwab said, recommending that attendees go to medtrade.com and click on Conference Sessions under the Show Info tab.
Attendees with a Conference Pass are encouraged to participate in the Consultant Cocktail Hour from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28. The event provides attendees with the opportunity to ask questions of industry experts at a relaxed networking reception.
The always well-attended AAHomecare Update is scheduled for Wednesday, March 29 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. It will feature an interactive panel of AAHomecare policy experts, covering legislative priorities, regulatory opportunities and payer relations initiatives.
