Briefs: Pride announces stops for new tour

EXETER, Pa. - Pride Mobility and Quantum Rehab announced in February the stops for its new educational tour. The 2011 Professional Education Partnership will stop in 24 cities beginning in Orlando in March and ending in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., in October. The tour features courses like "Mobility Product Troubleshooting and Repair." Speakers include Bill Pierce, a PT who specializes in neuro-rehab at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene, Ore. Invacare has a plan
ELYRIA, Ohio - Invacare launched in February the Invacare One Partner electronic book (e-book) to help providers meet the challenges of competitive bidding. The e-book contains information on topics like financing, non-delivery oxygen technology, merchandising, repairs and co-pay collection.
Covidien launches unified packaging
MANSFIELD, Mass. - Covidien in March launched unified packaging for more than 60,000 products--the final step in the transition from Tyco Healthcare to Covidien. The company's brands, including Mallinckrodt and Nellcor, will now be shown under the Covidien name, leveraging the motto "One look. One Covidien." The new packaging will be unveiled in a rolling launch over the next 12 to 18 months.
Roscoe releases expanded catalog
STRONGSVILLE, Ohio - Roscoe Medical released an expanded product catalog in February. The 2011 catalog features more than double the number of products than the previous catalog, including bath safety, homecare beds, electrotherapy, respiratory care and supplies, and CPAP masks. VGM targets alternate care
WATERLOO, Iowa - The VGM Group has promoted Alan Morris to director of alternate care programs. "Alan will be responsible for leading VGM into new opportunities in the healthcare marketplace, as well as continuing to develop some of our current offerings," stated Ron Bendell, president of VGM & Associates, in a release. Previously, Morris was a regulatory analyst at VGM.
