Briefs: ATG Rehab's band of brothers

JAKARTA, Indonesia - In March, Mark Grillo of ATG Rehab was part of a team of complex rehab specialists that traveled here with Wheels for Humanity and fitted 50 children and adults with donated wheelchairs. Two of those recipients: Brothers Tri, 24, and Andang, 27, of Wonosari, Indonesia, who received their first-ever wheelchairs after being bed-ridden with cerebral palsy all of their lives.
The Scooter Store manages new biz
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas - The Scooter Store announced in May that it has been tapped by HealthPlus of Michigan to provide mobility products and services to its 200,000-plus commercial, Medicare Advantage, HealthPlus Partners Medicaid and HealthPlus Insurance Company (PPO) members. The Scooter Store's managed care division now has more than 90 partnerships covering 114 million people nationally.

There's no place like Heartland
WATERLOO, Iowa - The VGM Group unveiled a 1,500-square-foot, all-accessible home as part of the 2010 Heartland Conference in June. The "Heartland Home for Independent Living" features, among other things, zero-threshold entrances and a walk-in tub. The home was built in collaboration between Accessible Home Improvement of America, a division of VGM; Roof Development; and All American Homes.
