WATERLOO, Iowa - Jerry Keiderling spent the better part of 2010 continuing to build up a program for Accessible Home Improvement of America (AHIA), a nationwide network of independently owned and operated providers and contractors who specialize in accessible home modifications and related products and services. Now he's ready for its coming out party.
"There are going to be some exciting things happening in 2011, including new marketing efforts that will entail a major event, as well as displays around the country for consumers to see what's available," said Keiderling, president of AHIA, a division of The VGM Group. "I think 2011 is going to be the big year."
AHIA's marketing efforts in 2011 will "wake up" consumers to home modifications, Keiderling says.
"The current Medicare consumer doesn't know what's available," he said. "The next generation of Medicare consumers does know what's available, because they're Internet savvy and they do research, but they still don't know how to find someone that's qualified and professional to get the work done for them."
