WINNIPEG, Manitoba - Three and a half years after its initial rollout, Scootaround has relaunched its Engage customer rewards program.
“Every company these days has a loyalty program, so we're trying to stand out and provide the best possible member benefits we can,” said Jordan Meagher, sales and marketing at Scootaround. “And change is good.”
The revamped program includes more exclusive offers and discounts to members, such as its Sizzling Summer promotion, which offered members 15% off if they mentioned the keyword “August,” and a simplified points system.
“They were a bit confusing before,” said Meagher. “Essentially two points equaled a $1, now it's $1 per point.”
In addition to earning free daily rentals, members are able to cash in points for equipment.
Another feature coming soon to the program: extra bonus points in exchange for member referrals.
“We're trying to figure out the best way to incentivize people to refer a friend,” sad Meagher. “Our management team is meeting daily to figure out the fine details.”
This isn't the first time Scootaround, which provides rentals for conventions and other large events, has made changes to its customer service offerings.
In June, the company rolled out its DNA program, which allows users to store their equipment information, such as model and serial numbers, to help expedite repairs when traveling.
“We launched the program specifically for United Spinal Association members and we're getting as much feedback as we can,” said Meagher. “In 2016, we hope to launch it to the public.”
