SAN DIEGO and SEATTLE - ResMed is using Numera Social, a telehealth platform, to power its online patient engagement tool called SleepSeeker, according to a press release. Numera Social allows patients to upload readings, track progress, set goals and share updates with friends and family. "One of the critical issues in managing patients with sleep-disordered breathing is keeping them engaged with their prescribed treatment plan," said Jeremy Malecha, director for healthcare informatics and diagnostics, Americas, at ResMed. "We chose Numera's Social platform because it enabled ResMed to rapidly deploy a fully branded, intuitive, user-friendly tool to motivate device users." Numera's FDA-cleared platform has also been incorporated into glucose meters, pulse oximeters, weight scales, activity monitors and blood pressure monitors.
