Medela picks up Acacia's enteral feeding division

MCHENRY, Ill. - Medela has completed its acquisition of the enteral feeding assets of Brea, Calif.-based Acacia, which produces neonatal feeding devices, according to a release. “We are excited to close this acquisition and add enteral feeding to our portfolio of human milk feeding solutions for our NICU customers,” said Carolin Archibald, Medela president. The purchase shows Medela's commitment to feeding solutions for NICUs, according to the release. Acacia's enteral feeding products will remain available through standard channels under the auspices of Medela.
