WATERLOO, Iowa - HQAA has launched a new accreditation program designed specifically for providers of facility-based ventricular care units (FBVU), according to a press release. The accreditation is available for any facility-based ventilator care provider and is tied to the business entity providing the care, whether it's owned by the facility or an outside contractor. Like HQAA's other programs, this program is designed to meet the needs of industry professionals and satisfy standards established by various laws and regulations. HQAA staff also considered evidence-based guidelines from national recognized professional organizations, like the American Association for Respiratory Care, when developing the program.
