Henry Schein recognizes women athletic trainers

MELVILLE, N.Y. – Henry Schein Medical paid tribute to women athletic trainers (ATs) during  National Girls and Women in Sports Day 2025 on Feb. 5. Spotlighting ATs for four Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), the company’s Athletics and Schools business launched a video to showcase the critical role ATs play in the continuum of care and to recognize the increase of women ATs in sports. Featuring Theresa Acosta (New York Liberty), Dr. Christina Kennedy (Washington Mystics), Natalie Trotter (Women's Professional Basketball Athletic Trainers Association) and Brittanie Vaughn (Seattle Storm), the short interviews touch on their memorable career moments, the rise of women in sports, advice for individuals early in their careers and more. “Behind every layup and three-point shot lies a team of dedicated athletic trainers, many of whom are women,” said Megan LoRé, general manager of operations for Henry Schein’s U.S. Specialty Distribution Group. “It’s important that we acknowledge the contributions of women athletic trainers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep athletes at their best, physically and mentally. Henry Schein Medical is pleased to support these professionals with products, tools and resources to help ensure their impact continues to be felt across the health care landscape.” National Girls and Women in Sports Day honors athletic achievements by women, recognizes the importance of sports and fitness participation for all girls and women, and celebrates the power of women in sports and the continued push for equity.
