We got an e-mail from Invacare's Mark Sullivan over the weekend, letting us know that he'll soon be publishing a new book, "DENIED," a photographic essay about complex rehab technology. Here's a blurb from his e-mail:
(The book) is written to inform those involved in shaping the future of people with disabilities (about) new wheelchair technology. It is specifically intended to make a case for reversing the "in the home" restriction that hampers community access and the development of better wheelchair technology."
Sullivan, Invacare's vice president of rehab, hopes people will buy the book and provide it to their representatives and senators, and payers. It features a foreward by Marilyn Hamilton.
Preview the book here. For more on Sullivan and DENIED, check out the November issue of HME News.
