YARMOUTH, Maine - Industry stakeholders have lined up a series of events and initiatives to ramp up the fight against competitive bidding.

The VGM Group is organizing receptions for Reps. Tom Latham, R-Iowa, and Steve King, R-Iowa, two of the 13 original co-sponsors for H.R. 6490, a bill that would replace competitive bidding with a market-pricing program (MPP). Latham's breakfast reception will take place Oct. 5 in Des Moines, Iowa, while King's reception will take place Oct. 11 in Waterloo, Iowa.
