NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas - Martin "Marty" Landon will take the top post at The Scooter Store on July 30, the company announced today.
Most recently, Landon was CFO and executive vice president at San Antonio-based wound care manufacturer Kinetic Concepts Inc. (KCI). Landon managed KCI's global financial strategy and worked with the CEO to develop the company's organizational structure.
“The Scooter Store has grown to become one of the premier organizations in the HME sector over the past 21 years, and I am very excited to join the team,” stated Landon in a press release. “With our ongoing commitment to quality products and service, and great people driving the company's success, there is a tremendous opportunity for The Scooter Store to continue building our reputation and to extend our market-leading position in power mobility.”
Landon will replace interim CEO and board member J. Randall Bishop. Bishop stepped in after founder and CEO Doug Harrison resigned in March. Harrison was one of more than a dozen top executives to leave the company this spring.
The Scooter Store believes Landon's “deep industry and leadership experience” will help the company grow and meet the challenges of an ever-changing healthcare environment.
"We are confident that he is the right person to move the company forward into its next phase of evolution," Bishop stated.
