It's Downhill for Diabetes

American Diabetes Wholesale (ADW) in February sponsored “Downhill for Diabetes,” a fundraiser for diabetes research. The daylong skiing and snowboarding event was held at Pico Mountain Resort in Killington, Vt., and is sponsored by Donations for Diabetes. This year's event raised $19,500. “We do our part the best we can and part of it is helping other organizations to help people get the resources needed to better manage their diabetes,” said Chris Maguire, ADW vice president and co-founder. The online provider has also raised money for the Juvenile Research Foundation through gift basket sales and partnered with Indy race care driver Charlie Kimball to launch Glucostories, a resource for people living with diabetes.
