YARMOUTH, Maine -Times may be tough, but there's one area where home medical equipment providers shouldn't be pinching pennies, says Eric Kline: Paying their sales reps.
"Look at things like a smaller salary and bigger commission," says Kline, president of HME SalesPro. "That gives the sales person the ability to make more money than they would with a straight salary; however, it's tied to productivity. If the sales rep is making more money, the company is making more money."
