Providers

You know when you get a new car, suddenly every third car you see is the same blue Honda Civic you just bought? 

It's been like that with me and HME. Everywhere I go, I spot scooters and wheelchairs and rollators. I guess I never really took notice of these before. 

I know being a provider these days is really stressful. Trying to keep up with Medicare's ever-changing policies—do those cryptic DME MAC updates even help?—as well as keeping up with everything every other business owner has to keep up with, like payroll, community involvement, taxes, etc.

They're doing construction on the floor below us at HME News World HQ. All last week, they were sandblasting the ceilings down there, and, as a coworker put it, it sounded like we were working in a car wash.

In making cold calls over the past week or so, I've talked to several providers who've gone above and beyond in some pretty extreme weather situations. 

While some providers are still considering whether to branch into Facebook or Twitter, people with their ears to the ground might have heard that another social networking site is picking up speed: Pinterest.
