Trac Medical reaches out to HMEs with new partnership

February 3, 2003 SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Trac Medical Solutions signed an agreement last week designed to expand its presence in the emerging market for Internet-based medical forms, particularly solutions such as e-CMNs targeted at the home care industry. Trac Medical has forged a marketing relationship with HME Providers, Inc., a Titusville, Fla.-based company that runs a national network providing home medical equipment (HME) suppliers with cost-effective national advertising programs and e-commerce services, as well as group discounts on product procurement. HME Providers will make TracMed CareCert, Trac Medical's secure, Web-based forms processing solution, instantly available to over 400 members through its business-to-business Web site. "HME Providers will deepen Trac Medical's home care market penetration by offering leading small- and mid-size medical suppliers, and their healthcare providers, seamless access to our solution," said Jeffrey Frankel, Trac Medical's president and chief executive officer. The agreement with HME Providers is Trac Medical's latest move in an aggressive drive to capture leadership in the medical forms market. This marketing alliance with HME Providers significantly strengthens Trac Medical's ability to reach small- to mid-size customers, many of which are demanding automated forms management solutions. TracMed CareCert will be integrated into HME Providers' e-Commerce Web Site. A highly visible link on the Home Page will direct medical suppliers to the CareCert Web Site, where they can sign up for, and use the solution. HME Providers also will promote CareCert through bi-monthly newsletters and direct marketing campaigns, among other activities. HME Providers offers its members Web-based tools to lower their operating costs and increase sales revenue. The company leverages advanced Internet technology to deliver these services, which include online product procurement, favorable positioning on Internet search engines and Web development.
