NSM, Operation FINALLY HOME bring 'sunshine' to veteran

AUSTIN, Texas - National Seating & Mobility and Operation FINALLY HOME have partnered to provide a new wheelchair ramp for Ray Marin, who served in the U.S. Marines for six years during the Vietnam War.

After open-heart surgery, a stroke and a battle with cancer, Operation FINALLY HOME provided home modifications to support his needs.

“NSM is committed to breaking down barriers to support independence for all who deserve to live life without limitations,” said Bill Mixon, NSM CEO. “We are honored to work with Operation FINALLY HOME to provide home solutions for our country's veterans, including this deserving Marine and his family.”

NSM collaborated with National Ramp on the donation and the installation of the ramp.

“NSM responded so quickly and the new ramp looks like it was made for our back-door threshold,” Marin said. “Lucy and I can now go to our backyard to be in the sunshine, walk our dogs and enjoy our waterfall.”

Operation FINALLY HOME is a nonprofit that provides homes and home modifications to America's military heroes and widows. For additional information or to apply for consideration for a home or home modification, please visit operationfinallyhome.org/apply.
