Medtrade Spring programs give providers the chance to sound off, network together and evaluate industry's new product offerings

LAS VEGAS - Despite all the challenges in the HME industry, Medtrade Spring 2017 is providing a forum for providers to feel empowered and take control of their financial future.

Through programs like Power Lunch, Audit Happy Hour, AAHomecare's Stand Up for Homecare, HME Retail Product Awards and New Product Pavilion, show attendees can band together and promote the ideals that reinforce the industry's strengths.

The Power Lunch has turned into a favorite activity at both Medtrades, as has the Audit Happy Hour. Group Show Director Kevin Gaffney attributes the popularity of both sessions to attendees' access to experts in a relaxed atmosphere of food and cocktails.

Set for 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, the Power Lunch will feature experts addressing groups at different tables, setting up discussions on a variety of topics: documentation requirements, social media and web marketing, retail/caretail, home accessibility, competitive bidding, leadership, audits and business operations. Attendees are strongly encouraged to register in advance and go to a pre-selected table for their preferred topic.

The Audit Happy Hour is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This casual networking opportunity is a chance to meet with experts over a glass of wine or beer. Audit experts will be available to “have their brains picked” during the event, session organizers said. Advance registration is required and the fee is $30 to attend.

AAHomecare's “Stand Up for Homecare” is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 5:30 p.m. The event brings together industry leaders for an evening of celebrating and fundraising for the HME community.
