Industry on coronavirus: We need to assess capacity

WASHINGTON - AAHomecare and VGM have launched a survey to assess the quantities of patient-ready respiratory equipment that can be used for COVID-19 in the United States.

The two groups are asking suppliers who provide ventilators and/or home oxygen to take the brief survey so they can assess the industry's capacity to help respond to the pandemic.

“It is imperative to get accurate information from as many suppliers as possible,” AAHomecare stated in a bulletin.

The two groups say the responses will only be shared in aggregate, without any identifying company information.

They seek only one response per company. Demographic information is requested, but only to help filter any accidental duplicate entries.

Responses are due by March 23.
