Fledgling Sunrise president resigns

LONGMONT, Colo. - John Kitts, who was appointed president of Sunrise Medical's North American Commercial Operations late last year, resigned Sept. 9 in the wake of a management transition in the company's upper echelon.
The July 1 transition put Raymond Huggenberger, formerly the president of Sunrise Medical's Europe, in a brand- new position as president and COO of Sunrise Medical Worldwide, that had jurisdiction over North American and Europe.
Kitts, say insiders, wanted more responsibility, not less. Sunrise Medicals CEO noted in a prepared statement that Kitts wanted to pursue opportunities where "he can really lead an entire organization."
The company has no plans to fill Kitts' shoes. The sales team that used to report to Kitts will now report to Huggenberger. HME
