Drive acquires Wenzelite

September 16, 2003 PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. - Drive Medical Design and Manufacturing has acquired Wenzelite, a manufacturer of rehabilitation equipment headquartered in Brooklyn, N.Y. Drive announced the deal Sept. 5. Wenzelite has been manufacturing rehabilitation equipment since 1982. Its products include the “Safety Roller”, posterior rollers, pediatric seating & positioning products, pediatric standers and a complete line of bariatric rollers. “The acquisition of Wenzelite is representative of our commitment to the rehabilitation product line” stated Harvey Diamond, Drives president. “The Wenzelite product combined with the sales and marketing resources of Drive will enable providers to access a broad line of rehabilitation products and durable medical equipment form one source. More importantly, providers will benefit by Drives industry leading value. i.e. more product features, best quality, and low prices.” Drive is line of durable medical and rehabilitation equipment includes wheelchairs, hospital beds, walkers, rollators, pressure prevention products, bathroom safety and electrotherapy products.
