LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga, -- HME software vendor Brightree announced this morning that it has acquired a key competitor, Computer Applications Unlimited (CAU).
"CAU is one of the few companies that has continued to innovate and develop current technologies," said Dave Cormack, president and CEO of Brightree. "Given the continuous pressure on reimbursement rates, the providers who will be around in the future are those that are the best run today. Overall, CAU customers are excellent operationally."
Terry Dinsmore, president & CEO of CAU, called Brightree the ideal suitor for his company.
"We share the same commitment to serve the needs of our customers, help them use technology to be more efficient, and improve their business processes," he said. "Given Brightree's proven track record of product development and outstanding customer support, I know that my customers will be in excellent hands."
As part of the acquisition, Brightree has entered into a three-year lease for the existing CAU headquarters facility in Harrisburg, Pa.
